Secretary Bird, South Africa

Now here is a bird that I truly knew nothing about until this post. The Secretary Bird is an unusual predatory bird. Unlike raptors who stalk from above Secretary Birds hunt their prey (mostly insects, scorpions, and the occasional Cobra) while walking deliberately over land. They fly very well, but prefer traveling on two legs. Interesting choice!
